Assassin bug in Fossil Resin

This nasty little insect is known as an assaasin bug. A South American species is known as the kissing bug, as it sometimes bites humans near the lips as they sleep. Some species are a vector of a lethal Chagas disease, trypanosomal protozoan parasite Trypanosoma.
